Community Engagement Strategy

Our community engagement vision is to bring color and brightness to our communities around the world through community sustainability, education and employee engagement.

Our locations are guided by the PPG Community Engagement Framework, which outlines appropriate programs depending upon the specific needs of each community. Our goal is to implement the framework globally by 2025.

In 2018, 70 percent of our facilities met the requirements of the framework. This was down from 75 percent in 2017, as we experienced a 20 percent increase in the number of locations due to acquisitions.

Under the framework, sites are assigned one of four implementation levels based on their impact in their communities.
